Breaking news as Brett Favre is now a New York Jet. The deal was done earlier today, as the Jets are giving up a draft pick for a round that is dependant upon how much playing time he performs in the 2008 season. Here is how the deal breaks down:
The Green Bay Packers get a 4th round draft pick for Brett Favre; it will become a 3rd round pick if Farve takes 50% of the snaps for the Jets. It becomes a 2nd round draft pick if the Jets make the playoffs and Brett takes 70% of the snaps. The draft pick could become a 1st round selection if Favre takes 80% of the snaps and the Jets make the Super Bowl. So performance is key, and this is going to make for an interesting year with a new team, new city and new fans for Brett Favre. Time, and snap counts, will tell!!!!
