Bank of America Stadium Where the Carolina Panthers Roar at Home
The Carolina Panthers have won the hearts of some die-hard basketball and NASCAR fans in Carolina Country with their winning ways.
The first of two new teams to win an NFL expansion franchise in 1995 (along with Jacksonville Jaguars), the Panters has been going strong since. In the land of NASCAR and collegiate basketball programs at either UNC, Duke, Wake Forest, NC State and UNCC, the hometown team has a strong following as they were the first to implement the Personal Seat Licenses program. This program assisted in the construction costs of the stadium. Bank of America bought the naming rights to the stadium in 2004 for 20 years. Bank of America Stadium is commonly called "The Vault" or "The Bank".
Bank of America Stadium is also home to the ACC Championship Football Game, the Meineke Car Care Bowl, and the East Carolina University football team. The Meineke Car Care Bowl hosts an ACC team verses a Big East team for the bowl game. The facility has also been the host of the NCAA Soccer Championship game, as well as religious crusades and musical concerts.
