Cleveland Municipal Stadium Home of the Cleveland Browns and the Dawg Pound
Cleveland Municipal Stadium. Where the Cleveland Browns play and the Dawg Pound adds that special home field touch and taunts their opponents.
The new stadium has been totally rebuilt, as the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium sits at the bottom of Lake Erie as an artificial reef. The stadium attracted a new franchise team from the NFL, as the previous franchise team was moved to Baltimore at the decision of owner Art Modell.
College games are held at Municipal Stadium, but there is no collegiate team that uses the facility for home field. It is home of the Ohio Classic where various schools in Ohio will be the host to their opponents.
The City of Cleveland has agreed not to sell the naming rights of the stadium to a corporate sponsor, instead, they have corporate sponsorships to the four different gates around the stadium.
Finally, the famous Dawg Pound represents the pride and tough Dawg reputation for the beloved Browns. Where passionate fans have no problem wearing dog face masks and other memorabilia, the Pound has their own special area of bleachers dedicated to show their love for their team.
