The Metrodome. Where the Minnesota Vikings Come in from the Cold
The Minnesota Vikings and the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome have had a long relationship of winning in the NFC Central Division.
The Metrodome has stood the test of time, being home to both the Vikings with their winning seasons and the Minnesota Twins with their World Series victories over the past decade. The Metrodome is also home to the Minnesota Golden Gophers of the Big Ten Division. But the Golden Gophers are presently in the works to building a home stadium on campus for their football team. The Golden Gophers also use the Dome for part of the baseball season as weather conditions are too harsh in the beginning of the season to host visiting teams outside.
The Metrodome hosts many other events. Monster truck rallies, conventions, Minnesota High School championship games, and marching band competitions are routine users of the Dome when the Vikings are not getting ready for a home game.
