The NFC North division. Where heated rivalries make up for the cold playing fields.

NFC North. To me, the most interesting conference in football. The Packers go 13-3 after having two bland years and a major overhaul that was suppose to take a couple more years to start winning again. The Lions go 6-2, and the realize that they were Detroit, and finished 7-9, missing the playoffs. Minnesota was toast early in the season, and the AD runs wild, gets hurt, and the Vikings still put together an 8-8 season. And the Bears. NFC Champions in 2006, 7-9 last year. The curse of the Super Bowl loser lives.....

So what does the conference look like this year? Green Bay has more drama with Brett Farve than ABC television has soap operas. Minnesota looks tough, but their QB issue is as clear as your local weatherman. And will Brett be wearing a Vikings uniform? Chicago? Who knows. The defense looks pretty tough, but the QB situation is another soap opera and their QBs have short hooks on them too. Detriot has a whole new offense to learn, and I don't know if the talent will be there to support the learning curve. The running back position is a big mystery, and the defense was last in 2007.

If this is your conference for your favorite team, scroll down and copy the GameDay Widget or share with your friends. The widgets will be updated each week throughout the season, so enjoy the season and count down the time until kickoff.
