Gillette Stadium Where the New England Patriots Dominate on Their Home Field
Gillette Stadium. Home of the New England Patriots, the team of the decade. Dominating in the regular season, and finding the ability to win games in the NFL playoffs, the Pats have been a force to reckon with.
Built in Foxborough, MA, the stadium opened in 2002 to accommodate the New England Pats. The Pats have given their fans some unbelievable winning seasons and playoff success on the new field since the stadium's opening. One of the most successful teams this decade, the Pats have made all the right moves, including a 16-0 record during the regular season in 2007. However, the cloud of "Spygate" has yet to be lifted, and NFL fans will hold on to their assumptions as time goes by.
Gillette Stadium is also home to the New England Revolution, the Major League Soccer franchise for the Boston/New England area. The stadium has held musical concerts, was the host of the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship game, and has been a part of both the MLS Cup and the FIFA Women's World Cup.
