Heinz Field Home of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Their 5 NFL Championships
Heinz Field. Where the Pittsburgh Steelers continue their winning traditions from the 1970's with their dominate play. Replacing the traditional Three Rivers Stadium, Heinz Field is the new stadium on the river for the Steelers.
Home to both the Steelers and the Pittsburgh Panthers of Division I collegiate football, the stadium is sponsored by H.J Heinz Company and the color of the seats resembles the mustard color of the famous condiment company. While the old Three Rivers Stadium was designed to be home to both Pittsburgh Pirates and the football teams, the new stadium is dedicated to only football, as the Pirates have moved to PNC Park, their new baseball park facility.
The facility is also used for high school athletic championship games, musical concerts, and soccer matches.
Coca-Cola Great Hall is a tribute to the storied football tradition and gridiron greats that have worn either the Pittsburgh Panthers or the Steelers uniform. It is located on the East Entrance and has historical and traditional memorabilia from the championship years.
