Week 4 NFL Predictions
Week 4 brings relief to 6 NFL teams as the beginning of the BYE week starts for the Lions, Colts, Dolphins, Pats, Giants and the Seahawks. This is an extra good week for the few Lions fans across America, as the Matt Millan era has come to a close. He was fired earlier this week, but an ugly, ugly franchise still remains. The Colts need to figure out how to win at home, the Pats have a bad taste in their mouth after the Dolphins beat them at home, the G-men are marching on, and Seahawks finally pulled one out.
Some interesting matchups for week 4. An in-state rivalry with the Browns visiting the Bengals, the "Battle of the Bays", and the long tradition of the 'Skins vs. Cowboys is on tap. So lets get to the predictions.
Cleveland Browns vs Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals almost took one from the G-men this past week, and despite their 0-3 record, have been improving dramatically. The Browns were beaten pretty bad by a rookie QB, but he is a very good rookie QB.
Bengals 24 Browns 19
Minnesota Vikings vs Tennessee Titans
The Vikes turned the corner last week beating a tough Carolina team. The Titans are just as tough, and continue to win despite the adversity surrounding VY. Both teams have tough defenses, but I have to give the nod to the Titans for two reasons: 1) better QB and 2)homefield advantage.
Titans 28 Vikes 17
Denver Broncos vs Kansas City Chiefs
While Denver is 3-0, their defense has many gaps in it. There is definitely room for improvement. But the Chiefs has so many gaps period, that Denver will win another road game.
Broncos 31 Chiefs 13
San Francisco 49ers vs New Orleans Saints
The game of mass confusion. Although the 9ers got a big time win last week, it was Detroit. My son's football team could beat Detroit right now. The Saints are not playing good football, as the running game sucks right now. So what team will show up. Heads or tails.........
Saints 25 49ers 21
Arizona Cardinals vs New York Jets
The Jets are struggling, as Brett isn't performing 100% of his ability. The Cards lost a tough game to the Skins, and this week isn't going to be any more easy. If the Cards do win, it will start building the confidence they need to make it to the playoffs, but I think the Jets will pull this one out. If they don't, it will be a long year.
Jets 24 Cards 21
Green Bay Packers at Tampa Bay Bucanneers
Battle of the Bays. The Pack played tough to the Cowboys, but the 'Boys were just too strong. Tampa found some heart in Chi-town and pulled one out. I think the Bucs will be in rhythem this week and will continue their winning ways.
Bucs 19 Chedders 17
Atlanta Falcons vs Carolina Panthers
The Falcons are reminding me of the Detroit Lions during the first half of last season when the Detroit Lions started of 6-2. Atlanta is playing better than what the really are, but that is OK. But they are playing a Carolina team at home, and that was embarrassed last week. Not OK for the Birds.
Panthers 35 Falcons 18
Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jags pulled one out on the road at Indy. The Texans are still shell-shocked from Hurricane Ike, and I can't blame them. it will be a hard, emotional year for the Texans....
Jags 17 Texans 9
San Diego Chargers vs Oakland Raiders
The Chargers won a "must win" game at home last Monday Night. the Raiders didn't fire Lane Kiffin Monday Night.....
Chargers 27 Raiders 13
Buffalo Bills vs St. Louis Rams
The Bills are the surprise team of the NFL at 3-0. The Rams are competing with the Lions for the worst team in the NFL right now..... This game will be the Week 4 yawner of the day
Bills 35 Rams 17
Washington Redskins vs Dallas Cowboys
This is the matchup of the week. The 'Skins have been improving tremendously since thier week 1 egg. But the 'Boys have been cooking up a 7 course meal every game. Time to remind the 'Skins that another egg is needed for the 7 course meal this week. The Week 4 Classic game of the week.....
Cowboys 31 Redskins 27
Philadelphia Eagles vs Chicago Bears
Important game for the Bears. If they lose at home again, it will be tough to bounce back and win on the road. They lost a heart-breaker in OT to the Bucs, and the Eagles are a tougher team. McNabb will be too explosive for the Bears D.
Eagles 26 Bears 24
Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers
I like this game. The Ravens have been playing strong even with a rookie QB. But now the big time lights of Monday Night are on him, and will he live up to the pre-draft hype that made him a first-round QB? Pittsburgh has been struggling, and Big Ben is hurting. Th is the Week 4 Upset of the week right here.....
Ravens 24 Steelers 17
So there you have it folks. Words of wisdom for Week 4.
Time will tell, and the beat goes on...........
